Supporting Special Programs

• Sponsoring Metro Children's Center to participate in the Winter Park Ski Program to   help build esteem and team skills.

• Providing audio-visual equipment to enhance training programs at Intercept Center, a collaborative project of Aurora Mental Health Center and Aurora Public Schools to help children 5 to 21 with a developmental disability and mental illness.

• Funding an experiential camping trip for teens 13 to 18 served at Hampden Academy, an approved therapeutic school offering a structured educational and therapeutic program, as well as an intensive outpatient program.  The trip focused on cooperation and problem solving skills.

• Funding a parent education class for Spanish speaking families that are new to the community.  The class teaches parenting skills and cultural education.

We Need Your Support
Aurora Vistas seeks community support throughout the year to make a difference in the lives of Aurora's children.  Several ways in which you can help are:

• Auxiliary member: You will get special invitations to upcoming events, updates on the children's programs that you support, and have an opportunity to participate in a committee.

• Committee member: You can choose to participate in the organization of the annual golf tournament, annual spring fundraiser, annual afternoon tea or the speaker's bureau.

• Board member: You guide the foundation at all levels, including selection of programs that receive funding.

• Donate: In-kind cash donations are greatly appreciated.  Donations of goods or services to the silent auction which is an integral part of the charity golf tournament each year.  All donations are 100% tax deductible.

• Sponsor: Become a sponsor in the annual charity golf tournament or the annual benefit afternoon tea.
