Jeannie Ritter And Dr. Mom Team Up To Support Mental Health Needs At June 5 Luncheon
Aurora Mental Health Center Hosts Their Third Annual Benefit Luncheon on Tuesday, June 5

Aurora, CO, May 21, 2007 – Colorado’s First Lady Jeannie Ritter and keynote speaker Marianne Neifert
M.D., better known as Dr. Mom, will raise awareness for important and often misunderstood mental health challenges at Aurora Mental Health Center’s Living Life to the Fullest 2007 Benefit Luncheon on Tuesday, June 5. This event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel Denver Southeast. Registration is required by calling Cindy Bohl at (303) 617-2300 by Thursday, May 31.
The luncheon event will be hosted by master of ceremonies Molly Hughes of CBS4 News, and will include comments from First Lady Jeannie Ritter, an active advocate of mental health throughout
Colorado. She will share her ideas for finding solutions to Colorado’s mental health challenges.
Keynote speaker Dr. Mom will present on emotionally healthy living and inspirational solutions to coping with life’s challenges. An acclaimed speaker, well-known pediatrician, author, and medical educator, Dr. MomÒ has appeared on Today, Good Morning America, The Early Show, CNN News, and currently contributes two monthly columns for ParentLife Magazine.
“Raising awareness for mental illness is critical to the health of our community,” said Dr. Randy Stith, Executive Director of Aurora Mental Health Center. “Our annual benefit luncheon is one of the ways we share important issues with community leaders. Aurora Mental Health Center (Center) has been recognized both nationally and locally for excellence in mental health services for all types of disorders. In addition to children and adult inpatient and outpatient services, the Center provides counseling for families, teens, couples, older adults, stress management, life coaching skills, as well as many other programs.
Citywide Banks and Kaiser Permanente are the leading sponsors of this event. All proceeds for this event go directly into supporting Aurora Mental Health Center’s mission of providing quality care and programs that help people find hope, and the skills to living full, productive, and happy lives.
