Aurora Mental Health Center- Free Happiness and Laughter Seminar

December 5, 2008- Aurora Mental Health Center will be holding a Happiness and Laughter Seminar Thursday, February 19th at the Aurora Central Library Community Room, 14949 E. Alameda CO 80012 at 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. This community education seminar is free to the public and will feature topics such as: The health benefits of laughter, what happiness is, ways to find your "happy place", tools for learning to laugh, and a laughter therapy demonstration. Laughter can have a positive effect of health, productivity, and the level of joy in life. Join us to learn how laughter can enhance your life.

We live in a social environment that shapes what we do and how we think and feel. People who are surrounded by happy people are more likely to live happy lives. A happier person is more likely to be more productive, efficient and healthier according to a recent CNN report. The more happiness you give away, the more you create in those around you. Join us to learn how laughter can enhance the joy in your life.

It has long been known that laughter is good medicine. Speakers Judy Nosler and Gail Birks are Certified Laughter Therapists with World Laughter Tours, Inc. and present laughter seminars at various functions in Denver and the surrounding areas. Judy Nosler is an RN at Aurora Mental Health Center and Gail Birks has a bachelor degree in psychology and works along side Judy as a medical staff assistant. Both have enjoyed long careers in the field of mental health, and explain that the use of humor in health and healing is essential for their own peace of mind and mental health as well as the health of others. Judy and Gail are committed to spreading the word and encouraging others to discover their own laugh potential.
