Paid Time Off
Health Insurance: Currently, eligible employees may participate in one of two Kaiser health insurance plans offered by the Center. Eligible employees include staff who are scheduled 20 or more hours per week. Health insurance is effective on date of hire.
Dental Insurance: Two dental insurance plans are currently offered to eligible employees who work 20 or more hours per week. Coverage commences the first of the month following date of hire.
Life Insurance: The Center currently provides eligible employees with one times annual salary in group life/accidental death and dismemberment insurance, with a minimum of $15,000 and maximum of $50,000. Coverage is effective on date of hire. An employee may also apply for additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse and dependent children.
Long Term Disability: Currently, the Center pays the full cost of long-term disability coverage for eligible employees. An employee is paid approximately 60% of salary after 90 days of disability. Certain limits may apply to high salaried individuals.
Professional Liability Insurance: The Center currently provides professional liability insurance for appropriate staff and students at no cost to the individual.
Worker's Compensation: Employees are covered from date of hire for on-the-job injury or illness.
Tax Sheltered Annuity: The Center provides a tax sheltered annuity program whereby employees may participate on a voluntary basis and set aside money pretax for future retirement needs.
Retirement Savings Plan: The Center currently provides for eligible employees a retirement savings program through a tax sheltered annuity or 403(b). Employees are eligible for a match in salary the first of the month following one year of employment.
Flexible Spending Account: Currently, eligible employees have the option of participating in flexible spending accounts, which allow individuals to set aside pretax dollars for out-of-pocket health care expenses and/or dependent care expenses.
Credit Union: The Center is a member of the Members Federal Credit Union. All employees are eligible to join and participate in the benefits of credit union membership. Deposits to the credit union are made through payroll deduction.
PAID TIME OFF
Annual Leave (Vacation): Full-time employees with 0-2 years of service accrue 12 days of annual leave per year. At 2 years and every year thereafter, accrual rate increases by 2 days per year up to a maximum of 20 days per year. Part time employees who work 20+ hours per week will accrue vacation on a pro-rated basis.
Sick Leave: Currently full-time employees accrue sick leave at a rate of 8 hours per month, up to a maximum accrual of 60 days. Part time employees who work 20 or more hours per week accrue sick leave on a pro-rated basis.
Holidays: The Center currently observes 10 paid holidays during the calendar year. Full-time employees receive 8 hours of holiday pay. Part time employees who work 20+ hours per week receive holiday pay on a pro-rated basis. After one year of employment, part time non-exempt administrative staff (secretarial/clerical) receive full time holiday benefits.
36-Hour Work Week: Currently, non-exempt administrative employees (secretarial/clerical) work 36 hours per week and receive pay at 40 hours per week.
Employee Assistance Program: Employees and their immediate family members may receive up to 6 free counseling sessions per year at a Behavioral HealthCare, Inc. mental health clinic. BHI facilities include Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network and Community Reach Center.
Computer Classes: Employees may receive free computer training in a variety of applications, including MS Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
Library: A variety of psychoeducational materials are available to all Center employees, students, volunteers and clients. Library materials include educational books, video tapes, CDs and audio tapes on mental illness, trauma recovery, parenting and family relationships.
