Homeless Services is a program intended to engage the homeless population in mental health and housing services. This program has 3 components: street outreach, drop-in and transition care. This team utilizes a creative multidisciplinary and community based approach to serving a population typically distrustful of systems. Services include: street outreach, clinical case management, individual therapy, and collaboration with external resources such as MCPN, wellness court, human services, hospitals, Day Resource Center, and local areas agencies that provide homeless service).

Student Placements Available and Requirements:

  • Outreach Therapist Intern for Drop-In or Transition Care team: first or second year MSW or Advanced Standing.
  • Street Outreach Worker Intern: Undergraduate – in process for Bachelors degree in related field. Commitment to 1 outreach shift/week and attendance at Outreach Staff Meeting for 6-12 month internship required for this placement.
