Our day treatment programs serve school-aged children and their families, providing both academic and therapeutic support. Students are provided with an education that is approved by the Colorado Department of Education and earn school credit towards graduation, which transfers to their public school when they return. Our therapists provide basic school day support, weekly individual and family therapy, and daily group therapy. Our program provides the following services:

  • Crisis Management
  • Individual Therapy
  • Family Therapy
  • Psychoeducation Groups (some examples include: coping skills, non-violent communication, and healthy relationships)
  • Educational Support (some examples include: IEP and one-on-one classroom support)
  • Advocacy
  • Collaboration with other agencies (juvenile probation, Department of Human Services, school districts, etc.)

This environment is unique because it follows a Positive Peer Program philosophy, which helps students develop leadership and conflict management skills, as well as be able to support and give one another feedback. Our therapists utilize an array of intervention methods, including but not limited to:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Trauma Focused CBT
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy
  • Parenting Education and Support
  • Family Systems
  • Brief-Solution Focused Therapy

Referrals can be made by the Department of Human Services, hospitals, juvenile probation, outpatient therapists, and public school districts.
